Breakfast Time

Another 100 word story.

I picked up some extra hours at work, which has caused my schedule to be erratic as I cover the morning, evening, and overnight shift people that want to go to vacation and take time off.  I've worked 8 days straight, a day off, and now I'm on another 8 straight.   It's a mix of morning, evening, with an overnight at the end of it.  So my sleep schedule and writing schedule is messed up.

I'll try to get caught up in the project, if not I'll just extend it until I cover the whole 365 stories I promised myself to finish.

On that note, I hit 20k views on this blog a few weeks back, so yay to that.  I'm glad that everyone enjoys my little stories.  I did promise a few things, still working on them fitting in what little time I have to finish them, but I will post them up as soon as I'm done.

I hope you enjoy my little sunday story.

04/26/2014 (Sunday)- Breakfast Time

I met the devil for breakfast.  A red apple on our plates, and morningstar light in our glasses.  I was in a rush to get to work, dressed in scrubs, papers in hand, missing in church.  Despite the lack of it, I still made time for the devil.

          How have you been?

“Busy.  No time for family, friends, or confessions—”

—but just enough to do some sinning?

          “Too much.”

Life is all about living with the amount of sin you can handle.

I nodded.  Walking out with a piece of red apple in my throat, and money on my mind.
